What We Collect
When you use Result.Law, we collect the information you enter in our assessment forms. Depending on which tool you use, this may include:
- Traffic ticket tool: your state, violation type, estimated fine, driving record details, and court date
- Medical bill tool: your state, bill type, amount billed, insurance status, and hospital type. We treat medical-related information with heightened care and do not use it for any purpose other than generating your assessment.
- Student loan tool: your state, loan balance range, income range, family size, repayment plan, and employment type. We do not collect your Social Security number, loan account number, or any credentials.
We also collect your email address if you choose to provide it for follow-up, and your IP address and browser information automatically.
If you make a payment, Stripe processes your payment information. Result.Law does not store credit card details.
How We Use Your Information
- To generate your assessment and deliver your paid report
- To send follow-up emails about your saved assessment if you provide your email (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To process payments and handle refund requests
- To improve our analysis quality
- To comply with legal obligations
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Stripe — to process payments securely
- Anthropic — our AI provider, which processes your assessment details to generate your paid report. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing.
- SendGrid (Twilio) — our email delivery provider, used to send assessment follow-up emails. SendGrid receives your email address for this purpose.
- Law enforcement or courts — if required by law
Data Retention
Assessment session data is stored to deliver your report. If you provide your email address, your assessment and contact information are retained to send follow-up emails until you unsubscribe or request deletion. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by emailing privacy@result.law.
Paid assessment results are retained so you can access them again. We may retain anonymized, aggregated data (no personal information) to improve our service.
California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).

Cookies
We use session cookies to maintain your assessment between the questionnaire and results pages. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
